I hope that you all had a great Christmas. So far we've already had 2 lovely Christmas celebrations - with my immediate family and Noel's family - and we still have 2 more celebrations with my extended family left!
Somewhere in there I also need to fit in a little reading time, because (ack!) it's December 26th and I still need to finish 3 more books to make my 2012 goal.
But I thought I'd pop in to share what I got for Christmas; and hopefully find out what you got too!
If you follow Quirky Bookworm on Facebook, you already saw that I got this awesome tote bag for Christmas. And, that same friend gave me the shirt below for my 30th birthday (which was December 18th).
Also for my birthday I got a book called The Founding Foodies: How Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin Revolutionized American Cuisine (a great mix of American history and food) and one called Forgotten Bookmarks: A Bookseller's Collection of Odd Things Lost Between the Pages -- which sounds like it'd fit in perfectly with some of the things I mentioned in my Survey: Are you a Bookmarker? post.
And, because she knows my nerdy self all too well, my friend Meghan got me a digital bookmark that tracks reading time. So now I can time exactly how long books take me to read! (Yep, told you I was nerdy).
For Christmas our family received Goodnight iPad, a funny Goodnight Moon parody; and then I got the two books pictured at the top of this post - Not Your Mother's Make-Ahead and Freeze Cookbook and Young House Love. I'm super excited about both of those, because I need some variety in my batch cooking recipes, and because I've been reading John and Sherry's blog for years, and the book is like a bonus 243 posts all at once!
What books did YOU get for Christmas?
