Reading Round-Up, Twitterature Style

Here's what I've been reading lately! Mostly stuff for review, since Zinio is still sidetracking me a bit on the fun reading front. Read all about 'em, in 140 characters or less.

The Fairest of Them All by Carolyn Turgeon.
Rapunzel is Snow White's evil stepmother. #NuffSaid

Thunder on the Right by Mary Stewart.
Took me long enough. Not my favorite Stewart - Jennifer Silver is too helpless a heroine for me. But love the Provencal setting.

The Romeo and Juliet Code by Phoebe Stone.
Cute kids, WWII setting, first in a series. Cover art does not match the story at ALL. Reminded me a bit of my know-it-all self at that age.

The Memory Key by Conor Fitzgerald.
Sometimes I want to take these thickheaded, alcoholic detectives and smack them upside the head until they fix their personal relationships.

It Happens in the Dark by Carol O'Connell.
Completely bizarre characters. Oddly choppy writing. Not my style at all; yet somehow captivating. #unputdownable

TransAtlantic by Colum McCann.
So unremittingly sad so far. Only 2 discs into audio version. Hopefully it gets a little less tragic. #Irishpotatofamine #slavery
