Swept off Her Feet by Hester Browne. Cutesy Scottish chick lit starring klutzy heroine. Not amazing by any means, but fun. And... no sex! So I recommended it to my mom.
Nightmare in Burgundy * by Jean-Pierre Alaux. Bizarre Biblical graffiti, lots of wine, beautiful Burgundy, curious winemaker does a bit of detecting about nature of said graffiti.
The Care and Management of Lies * by Jacqueline Winspear. I expected to really love this (because: MAISIE!). But I merely liked it. Tragic WWI story about letters between newlyweds. Sob.
I Am Half-Sick of Shadows by Alan Bradley. Flavia De Luce is the BEST. If I'm ever murdered, I want a precocious 11 year old chemist on the case. I adore the 1950s British setting.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling. Irresistible. I meant to pace myself to not get ahead of the YABMC. But I read the whole book in 1 day
The Body in the Library by Agatha Christie. Classic mystery at its finest. I really liked the cover of the e-book version I read. #missmarple
The Reluctant Assassin by Eoin Colfer. Time traveling evil Victorian magician meets nemesis: teenage FBI agent. Completely preposterous. But rather fun on audio. (Free from Sync!)
When the United States Spoke French: Five Refugees Who Shaped a Nation by Francois Furstenburg.* See, I do read nonfiction sometimes. #americanhistory #fascinating
And then, here are the bookish links I've been enjoying lately!
- In case you're confused as to your whereabouts, here's how you can tell if you're currently in a Jane Austen novel.
- Re: that Slate article that shall not be linked to. I think this response and this response are my favorites. Also, it's funny timing, given that I just talked about my own love for YA the week before!
- Speaking of YA, I really loved The Fault in Our Stars (coincidentally, I read it exactly two years ago). And, I'm kind of strangely tempted to get a TFIOS tattoo. Or maybe a Harry Potter one.
- And to connect Jane Austen and TFIOS; do you agree with this list of the 23 Best Book-To-Movie Adaptations of All Time? Well, not that TFIOS is on the list yet, but I hear it's great. I hope I get to see it soon!
Have YOU seen TFIOS?
What have YOU been reading?

Also, this post contains some of my Amazon affiliate links, thanks for supporting Quirky Bookworm. (By the way, I'm not a SYNC affiliate or anything; I just love free books!)
Planning to link up with Modern Mrs. Darcy's Twitterature!
