Judging Books By Their Covers: Over Sea, Under Stone

In honor of my re-reading of Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising sequence, I thought it would be fun to judge the first book, Over Sea, Under Stone, by its cover. It was published long enough ago that there are a ton of different versions, which makes for more fun judgments! Third from the left is an audiobook version, but the paperback that I own has the exact same cover.

All of those fit the themes of the book, and the gold one is quite pretty. But I think I might actually like this vintage one that I found on amazon.co.uk the best!
