Lauren Willig's That Summer: An Audio Excerpt and a Giveaway!

June was National Audiobook Month! Aren't you belatedly excited? I did write a review of Rob Lowe's Love Life on audio, but I completely spaced the whole audiobook paean (like this one) that I had planned.

Even though it's July now, I wanted to remind you all that audiobooks are the best. There is no way that I could've read 62 books so far this year without a fair number of them being audiobooks! If you're new to audiobooks, I'd highly recommend Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs books, J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books, or any of Bill Bryson's books on audio. I also recently loved The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.

To continue the audio love, I want to share an excerpt from Lauren Willig's That Summer. You can listen to the first 8 minutes right here! I haven't embedded anything from Soundcloud before, so I'm not quite sure how it'll work if you subscribe via email. You might have to click through to the actual post to be able to hit play.

But luckily for all of you, and somewhat reassuringly for me, I have discovered that I am not the only forgetful one. Amanda, who won the copy of That Summer, emailed me to let me know that St. Martin's Press accidentally mailed her two copies of the book! So we decided to make it an impromptu secondary giveaway. I'll pay the postage, and Amanda will mail the book to one of you.

To enter to win: leave a comment on this post letting me know something YOU have forgotten lately.

U.S. addresses only please, since I don't want to pay a fortune in postage. And, just to be clear, it's the print copy of the book you'll be winning. Comments will close next Monday night (7/14), and I'll randomly choose a winner, and then email the winner for their mailing details.

Update: The winner is commenter #2! Moira!
