Considering how many people there are (not to mention how many of them die) in Hamlet, I find it a bit odd that almost all of the covers I could find didn't have any people on them. I think I like the right cover the best. It's boring, but at least it's not creepy like the one on the left!
On a side note, I was wondering if 'Hamlet the play' came before or after the word 'hamlet - a small village'. I checked my OED (after I found its magnifying glass in Eleanor's toy bin) and it says that hamlet-the-village first appeared in print in 1330, so that wins. But now I'm wondering why Shakespeare gave that name to his character... any of you happen to be Shakespearean experts who can fill me in?
