Book Spine Poetry

Inspired by this pinboard from the Pima County Library, I decided to try my hand at a little book spine poetry! I don't consider myself very good at writing poetry, but Deborah Crombie and Jacqueline Winspear both have a lot of handily poetic titles.

Quirky Bookworm

this rough magic
dead souls
kissed a sad goodbye quietly in their sleep

Quirky Bookworm

before the frost
upon a dark night among the mad
the delicate storm
when maidens mourn

Quirky Bookworm

the holy thief
the stolen child
have mercy on us all
children of God

Quirky Bookworm

what angels fear
leaving everything most loved
don't look back
now may you weep a sea of troubles

Have you ever made any book spine poetry?
