My Library Hold List: The 8 Books I Can't Wait to Read

I put a few of these books on my Christmas list, but just to cover all my bases, I requested them from the library too. There are some really good books coming out in the near future!

  1. The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. I've been loving the Heroes of Olympus series so much, I think I like them even better than the first Percy Jackson series. They're such fun. I'm getting close to getting the e-version of the 4th book! Holds position: #2.
  2. The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan. I've got longer to wait on book 5 though. Holds position: #111.
  3. Yes Please by Amy Poehler. I'm waiting impatiently for the audio version of this. I could get the print copy sooner, but I think the audiobook will be worth waiting for. Holds position: #38.
  4. The Girl You Left Behind by JoJo Moyes. I enjoyed You Before Me, so I decided to request another Moyes book. Holds position: #28.
  5. As Chimney Sweepers Come to Dust by Alan Bradley. I CANNOT WAIT for this book to come out in January.. I asked for book money for Christmas, hopefully I'll get to buy this one and not have to wait for the library! Holds position: #31.
  6. Fairest by Marissa Meyer. This might be the one I'm most excited about. I was so mad when Winter (the final installment in the Lunar Chronicles) got pushed back. But at least Marissa Meyer is throwing us a Fairest bone to keep us happy till Winter comes out! Holds position: #26.
  7. A Dangerous Place by Jacqueline Winspear. Yippee! A new Maisie Dobbs! And this one is set in Gibraltar, which should be a fun departure from the usual London setting.  I hope the library buys a lot of copies when it comes out in March, so that I get it fast. Holds position: #14.
  8. The Young Elites by Marie Lu. I devoured the Legend Trilogy a few months ago, and I'm excited to get involved in this new series. (Although I suppose I should wait till the whole thing is published before I start, if I was being really smart.) Holds position: #1.

What books are YOU looking forward to?
